When talking about different renewable energy sources people usually talk about wind power and solar power though there are some other clean energy sources such as geothermal power , biomass , hydropower, tidal and wave power . …. Many people are now considering a home power generator system as a realistic alternative to reduce or even eliminate their power bills.

There are many proposed solutions to the liquid fuels scarcity caused be stagnating (and eventually falling) oil supplies combined with growing demand in emerging economies. Some will be good investments, others won’t. Here is where I’m putting my money, and why.

Despite the established benefits of geothermal heat pumps (GHPs) including 30- to 50-percent energy savings, minimal environmental impact, comfortable temperatures, quiet operation and a long equipment lifespan, convincing homeowners to fork out twice the cash to install one instead of a conventional heating and cooling system – especially when that system ostensibly performs the same function – hasn’t exactly been easy in a down economy.

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) this week announced that the U.S. wind industry installed an anemic 539 megawatts (MW) of capacity in the first quarter of 2010, the lowest first quarter figure since 2007. While the industry set records in 2009 by installing more than 10,000 MW, continued lack of long-term market signals from the federal government, combined with low power demand and price, has allowed the pipeline for advanced projects to slow over the past 18 months.
