The rise of the renewable energy industry in China has been causing investments into fossil fuel electricity generation projects to decrease. According to experts from China Electricity Council, if renewable energy cannot generate enough electricity to replace the electricity generated by fossil fuels, then the problem of electricity shortage will grow severe, says China media outlet NE21.
